The "2023 Electric Boat Industry Innovation and Development Shanghai International Forum and 2023 Ship and Offshore Electrical Technology Industry Development Summit," a focal point of industry attention both domestically and internationally, was successfully held on March 30, 2023, in Shanghai. This event gathered domestic and foreign entities to exchange, discuss, and share insights on hot topics such as the development of electric ships in the shipping industry, innovation in electrical systems, application and development of ship battery storage systems, and industry opportunities.

GEES showcased their new design, the PM120HY hybrid-powered intermodal container transport ship capable of carrying 120 containers on river-sea routes, making its detailed public debut at the forum. Experts from various institutions including Wuhan University of Technology, Changjiang Ship Design Institute, CSIC 712 Institute, and DNV participated in the forum and showed keen interest in this new ship model, engaging in discussions with GEES.

This vessel is suitable for coastal and inland waterways classified as A and B, capable of maritime transport from Yangshan Port to Waigaoqiao Terminal, as well as navigation on the Huangpu River, Lake Taihu, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, meeting national Ministry of Transport standards for inland waterway vessels.
