Changshu, Jiangsu, July 12, 2024 — The latest 13-meter pure electric pilot boat GCS control system developed by General Energies successfully completed its Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Zenergy’s facility in Changshu, Jiangsu. The testing, which began on July 7, 2024, and concluded on July 12, 2024, passed all requirements, providing robust technical support for the shipyard exporting to Indonesia.
The entire testing system included General Energies’ independently developed GCS control system, Danfoss’s liquid-cooled EM motors and liquid-cooled EC motor controllers, a DC network cabinet (equipped with ABB inverters and LCL), and liquid-cooled battery packs jointly developed by Zenergy and General Energies (each pack with a capacity of 195 kWh, totaling two packs). All equipment performed excellently during the FAT, meeting all technical and performance standards.
To prepare for this FAT, General Energies provided a complete set of cable harnesses, which simplified the connection time through aviation connectors and sockets. These cable harnesses will be reused on the vessel.
This test was crucial for all parties involved. By passing the FAT, the time required for on-board commissioning was significantly reduced, marking an unprecedented milestone with immense value.
