The VHD (Variable Hybrid Drive) is a transmission system suitable for small to medium applications. Its design allows easy installation on board and maintenance for hybrid drive train. The gear transmission is designed to achieve the best reliability and an optimal vibroacoustic isolation. The sound-absorption canopy combined with resilient mounts and shaft coupling are able to significantly reduce both air-borne and structural-borne noise. The Variable Hybrid Drive is engineered to be installed on the marine gearbox output, its reduction ratio (from 2.1:1 to 4.0:1) enables the adoption of low torque e-machines, guaranteeing a good matching with the propeller demand.
